Committee on Student Resource Improvement for the Week Ending 10/14/2011

Were not able to have a physical meeting, however all Senators on the Committee were able to give updates on their projects. Senator M. White, who is working on academic incentives, reports that the additional meals added the BearCard and backpack buttons were the two ideas most accepted throughout the student body. Senator B. White, working on the disc golf course, is setting up meetings with Dr. Cash and Dr. Larson of the Biology Department. He is receiving Chad Dickinson’s thesis via email, along with campus maps to work with both parties on how to best design the course. Further, Senator B. White is waiting on Vice President Ronnie Williams to discuss the course and how it could align with the Greek Village project. No new updates from the other Senators this week.
Committee on Student Resource Improvement Report for the Week Ending October 8, 2011

The SRIC met on 10/6/11. Senator Jones is in the process of corresponding with Darrel Walsh about tennis court refurbishing. According to past records, we project the courts are due for a present refurbishing.
Senator Matt White is looking into getting backpack pins for 4.0 and 3.5 GPA students. They are inexpensive and other pins are already widely popular on campus.
No other new news.

The SRIC met on September 29, 2011 with all members present.
Logan Jones is looking into the possibility of purple tennis courts while exploring the rest of necessary improvements. Branson White is continuing to follow up with Chad Dickenson and the other necessary people to get the disc golf course installed. Mary Catherine Rogers is exploring Torreyson Library, Technology Plaza, and Christian Cafeteria as possible options more banner locations. Matt White is surveying students to see what kinds of incentives students would respond to best for our academic inventive program.
Committee on Student Resource Improvement – For the Week Ending 9/23/11

The SGA Committee on Student Resource Improvement met on September 22, 2011 with all members present.
Chairman Beringer will begin working with Beta Alpha Psi for tax filing services on campus for students. He will also be setting up a meeting with Josh Riley of the HPER to discuss the status of Club Sports.
Senator Branson White will be working with Chad Dickenson and the University to finalize the disc golf course plans and installment.
Senator Jones will begin researching what improvements are necessary for our tennis courts.
Senator Matt White is spending the week brainstorming the Academic Incentives goal and how to best tackle the goal.
Secretary Rogers is surveying the campus for possible expansion opportunities for banner locations. Will also speak with Mr. Phelps about this expansion.
The whole Committee is starting to speak together about stratiges on how to bring Walmart on Campus to UCA and how to increase library hours.
