ACT Committee 10/3/2011
October 3, 2011 by Aaron Owen
The ACT Committee did not physically meet this week, but will this upcoming week on Thursday, October 6th at 5pm in Farris Hall.
Update on projects thus far:
Explosion Sportswear has been chosen to do the SGA t-shirts. Jordan Huntze will be in contact with the company this week to get an official quote.
Aaron Owen emailed Kimberly Ashley-Pauley, a member of the Public Appearances Committee. He asked for more information about the committee and what its plans were for this year. He should be in contact with her this week or another person that can help get that committee meeting regularly.
Adam Price contacted Aramark about a few concerns that the students have shown about the cafeteria such as larger signs for the menus so students don’t have to crowd around the front of the line to see. Also, he voiced a concern about possibly having more workers at the side stands (omelet, pasta bars) to quicken the lines along. Maybe even expanding those stations to match the current demand.
Kelsey Riddle will be in contact with channel 6 this week to discuss the possibility of televising Senate meetings and involving them more in what SGA does.
Jordan Frederking has been researching specific concerns of students regarding food services.
At our next committee meeting we plan on divvying up the remaining tasks and welcoming our new graduate senator to our team.
