Big Project Committee - Oct. 8th, 2013

The committee met at 1:30 p.m. to discuss three items of business.

  1. Rename "Big Project" - After discussion, the committee decided to name the project "Speak Up" to reflect the Twitter campaign slogan "#studentspeak".
  2. Set tentative dates - 
  • Nov. 4th - Applications go out
  • Jan. 17th - Applications due
  • Jan. 21-23rd - Speak Up committee reviews applications, interviews applicants, and selects finalists
  • Jan. 27th - Finalists present to full senate
  • Feb. 3rd - Senate votes on finalists

     3. Research advertising methods - The committee advocated utilizing twitter, fliers, and social media to get the word out, but the future meetings will be focused on this topic much more heavily.  

 

Big Project Committee - Oct. 8th, 2013

The committee met at 1:30pm in SC 208 to go over three items of business.

1. Logan Howard is contacting Danny Duong in regards to graphic design of a marketing campaign for advertising. 

2. The committee went over preferable approached to advertising, which consisted of fliers, Twitter, Facebook, OrgSync, SGA Public Relations Committee, an event at the ampitheater, MyUCA homepage, and a banner outside the Student Center.

3. The committee also decided to have the application both on OrgSync under the SGA portal and as a paper copy to be turned in at the SGA office. The application will be the same, so it will up to the students preference.
