October 23, 2014

Met with the dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Stephanie Beller, to discuss the role of SGA grad rep on Grad Council.

Created an email to distribute to graduate students for feedback, comments, concerns, etc.

Council voted on classes to create a concentration for the MBA program.  Also voted on faculty members to promote to graduate faculty.

The council wants to look at the graduate school application and see what criteria need to be standard and if there are things that are program specific that can be changed (i.e. GRE, Praxis scores, etc.)  The council as a whole wants to look into getting the students programs want into classes, not just taking students to fill the minimum.

Dr. Bellar wants to see about getting the application fee returned (even if only a small amount) to the graduate school for recruitment purposes.

Next meeting TBD.
